Kenny,

What a pleasant surprise finding your Clydeside website and the details of your 2 preseved buses. I am aware of an RM preserved in Clydeside colours although when I last saw it the signwriting and ads were missing. You may be aware that RM652, Rodney, works on heritage service 15 in London - and inside it carries a Great Minds Bus Alike poster. I am currently writing a series of articles about CSOL for publication by the Routemaster Association (RMOOA). This may be the precursor to a book - we'll see. Anyway good luck with your fleet. Dear Kenny,

Just come over your site for the Y type. a friend of mine has a former East Yorks. Leopard and is wondering what type of gearbox oil is required. If you can supply a code will be most helpful.

Many thanks,

Paul

Kenny, Excellent website and well done for all your efforts in rescuing and restoring a classic bus. Hope to pay the museum a visit in the near future when it would be good to grab a few minutes of your time if possible?

Kind Regards

I think this is a great bus that you have preserved here and i want to wish you the very best of luck, with its restoration and preservation ! The finished result, will most certainly bring back alot of memories for many Scottish Bus Enthusiasts and also for the Ex-Western Scottish employees, who had the pleasure of driving it !

Hi Kenny, nice to see JL50 preserved. Growing up in Kilmarnock, I was a regular traveller in Western's ubiquitous Leopards. It's a great shame that you aren't painting it into Western red/cream livery, it was a Western after all, but hey at least Clydeside colours are better than having it face the scrap man. Good luck.

I was on GCS35V in March from Lochgilphead to Ardrishaig and I have to say its the nicest bus I have travelled on. About 2 or 3 weeks ago I went on its replacement Dennis Dart J70WCM and I do not like the Dart with its ugly Plaxton Pointer body and the black plastic seats.
